Academic skills:

Experience in writing of academic grant proposals and obtaining research ethics approval.

Designing and implementing research protocols and standard operating procedure.

Ability to conduct research in an ethical manner and one that accords with good clinical practice.

Computer skills (Windows, Excel, SPSS, UNIX, Statistical Parametric Brain Mapping).

Knowledge of both Functional and Structural Brain Analysis including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Neuropsychological testing of all domains of cortical and sub-cortical brain function.

Extensive knowledge of techniques for hormonal assays, including both serum and salivary sampling.

Areas of research experience: sex and neurocognition, pharmacology, clinical, neurobiological and neurohormonal markers in schizophrenia, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), clinical trials of effects of typical and atypical antipsychotics on neuropsychological functioning, functional and structural neuroimaging, gender identity disorders, and behavioural neuroendocrinology.

Teaching Experience:

Presently assess and grade coursework for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Royal Holloway, University of London.

Plan to provide teaching/tutorials on CBT with psychosis to year 5 medical students.

Supervision of MSc and BSc students at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London.
